Website Design Tips from the Experts
When you go through a website, you’ll probably not even read through the words. You’ll probably just pick out the keywords and the various sentences. For this reason, you need to appeal to your customers from an emotional standpoint, or through images and icons. When you are able to do this, you’ll make your site more memorable and you’ll also make it way easier for your customers to process as well.
We really have come a long way from the days of stone tablets. It’s the designer’s job to try and arrange the content in a clean and efficient manner, because at the end of the day, you only have a couple of seconds to grab someone’s attention. Make sure that you apply colour, contrast, spacing and sizable elements accordingly. This will help to make your site more digestible and it will also make it much easier for your users to process as well.
There’s Such Thing as Too Many Fonts
As a rule, it’s super important that you don’t use different typefaces on one website. Some projects will cause you to have different font combinations but if you do this then you need to make sure that they are harmonious with one another. If you have more than one font type on the page then try and make sure that the size is relevant and that there is a reason for it. This will really bring your design together and it’s a great way for you to really make the site look professional.
And lastly, you need to make sure that your site is easy to navigate. If one page doesn’t flow nicely onto the next then this can cause your customers issues and it can also make your site look really unprofessional as well.
